Twin Peaks to Host Forum on Drugs and Alcohol

Parents can come learn about drug and alcohol abuse and how to deal with it tonight at Twin Peaks Middle School.

Raising kids is no easy task. As children get older, seemingly-taboo topics can be a hard thing to both talk about and face.

is offering a free seminar for parents on a serious subject. Psychologist Sean O’Hara, who has more than 23 years of experience, will lead a discussion on drug and alcohol abuse tonight at the middle school.

Parents can learn effective ways to prevent drug and alcohol abuse in their children from O’Hara. A panel of Poway Sheriffs’ Resource Officers, members of the Safety Wellness Advocacy Community Coalition, Student Services staff members and numerous certified drug and alcohol counselors will be on hand to answer any questions the parents might have.

This is a great forum to attend where you’ll receive necessary information for the well-being of your child and their future. Twin Peaks PTSA is sponsoring the event and childcare for kids ages 2-12 will be provided. Please note that this is an adult-only workshop.
