Celebrate Pomerado Hospital's 35 Years of Service

Pomerado Hospital is celebrating 35 years of service on Saturday.

Stop by and say “happy anniversary!” to Pomerado Hospital this weekend.

The local hospital, which has served Poway and surrounding areas for 35 years, is having a for this milestone year. Everyone is invited to come out to Pomerado’s Outpatient Pavilion for some healthy fun.

The day’s festivities, which will be hosted by Palomar Health Champion and former TV news anchor Carol LeBeau, will include free health screenings, like blood pressure, blood glucose and body mass index; children’s activities, to keep the little ones occupied; and tours of the hospital and the Outpatient Pavilion.

The day will also include speakers, exhibits and a cake-cutting ceremony. Guests will be able to get plenty of information about the Palomar Heath services from information booths, like:

  • Palomar Pomerado Health Foundation

Ready to celebrate the healthy way? Visit Pomerado Hospital’s Outpatient Pavilion on April 21 from 1-4 p.m. This is a free community event, and as an added Earth Day bonus, you can bring in your e-waste for recycling.

Pomerado Hospital is part of Palomar Health, the largest public health district in California. According to a press release, Palomar Health is planning to open a third hospital in Escondido this summer. The district plans to break ground also on a health clinic in Ramona. Plans are also under way to build a bridge to connect Pomerado Hospital and the Pomerado Outpatient Pavilion.
