Community Band Festival Jazzes Up The Weekend
Visit Old Poway Park on May 19 and 20 for an all-day concert from local and patriotic bands.
Feeling patriotic? Then is the place to be this weekend.
Poway’s is this Saturday and Sunday and is featuring lots of local talent from all over the county and even as far away from Arizona, like:
- Mainstreet Community Band
- The Valley Winds
- Pacific Coast Concert Band
- Rancho Bernardo Community Band
- San Diego City Guard
- Ahwatukee Foothills Concert Band
- Navy Band, Southwest
- El Cajon German Band
- Hillcrest Wind Ensemble
- Kearney Mesa Concert Band
- San Diego Concert Band
- Sierra del Mar Salvation Army Band
- Pomerado Community Band
- First Marine Division Band

The music fest will include the free concerts throughout each day, as well as meet and greets with music vendors, , food and drink vendors and the , where guests can browse and buy through an assortment of handmade jewelry and more.
The Community Band Festival is May 19-20 from 11 a.m.-8 p.m. at Old Poway Park and is free. The Arts and Craft Market is 8 a.m.-2 p.m. at the boardwalk and 11 a.m.-5 p.m. in the fountain area on May 19 and noon-5 p.m. on May 20 in the fountain area.

There will be opening ceremonies on both days of the music festival and the days will both end with military bands. The two-day concert is sponsored by the City of Poway and the Pomerado Community Band.
