Wanted Man Runs from Deputies; Authorities Still in Search

A white male, approximately 5-feet-10-inches, wearing a black shirt and black hat ran off from deputies near the intersection of Robison Boulevard and Schaler Drive around 3:18 p.m., authorities said.

A man wanted by the San Diego Sheriff's Department ran away from deputies Thursday afternoon in Poway, the department said.

A white male, approximately 5-feet-10-inches, wearing a black shirt and black hat ran off from deputies near the intersection of Robison Boulevard and Schaler Drive around 3:18 p.m., authorities said.

The suspect, who was not in custody at the time he ran away, was still missing at 4:50 p.m. and the Sheriff's Department said they had a helicopter in the air looking for him, as well as ground units.

Authorities could not say what the man was wanted for.
