5-Hour Stand-Off on Midland Road Ends in Arrest

The 26-year-old suspect was violating a restraining order, according to officials.

A man who allegedly threatened to kill his wife caused a five-hour stand-off with sheriff's deputies in Poway Sunday night, the U-T San Diego reported.

The stand-off ended peacefully at about 6 p.m. after the suspect surrendered, according to the newspaper.

The U-T said that the 26-year-old suspect barricaded himself inside his home along Midland Road near Fairgate Drive at about 1 p.m., violating a restraining order.
