<p>Old Poway Park was the dream of Army Colonel John S. Porter, who settled in the city in the mid-1900s. Over the years, he acquired historic buildings to fulfill his dream and later, the City of Poway completed it.</p>
<p>Old Poway Park consists of the City's first Assembly Hall, the Baldwin Steam Engine, its rail, and an 1894 Yellow Trolley, among other buildings.</p> <p>The park is complete with picnic areas, a weekly farmers market, special events throughout the year and historical tours. Facilities are also available for rent.</p>
