Help Local Schools—One Taco at a Time

This week's Poway Gives Back includes tacos, the 80's and handbags.

EL RANCHITO GIVES BACK

Dine at El Ranchito Taco Shop on Dec. 8 and help support the Friends of Poway High Foundation. Present this flier and a portion of your bill will benefit the school. This has become a popular fundraising model in our community with a number of restaurants taking part. If you can't make it to El Ranchito on Dec. 8, swing by on Dec. 13 and help . Don't forget to take the flier.

BACK TO THE FUTURE

Dec. 3 is “80's Night" at . The Midland Educational Foundation is hosting its 3rd annual fundraiser, featuring a variety of “totally rad” auction items like a weekend getaway, Comic Con package, 50-yard-line Chargers tickets and more. Plus there will be good food. Tickets are $10 for children, $20 for adults and $25 for a family. Eat, drink and be 80's! Get more details on its website

HANDBAGS FOR HOPE

Shopping for a handbag? Get a hand-crafted bag and support Operation for HOPE during their “Handbags for HOPE” event on Dec. 3 from 1-4 p.m. The local non-profit is selling hand-crafted belts and jewelry as well as a fundraiser for their work helping domestic violence victims and their children overcome economic barriers.
