Mmore than 1,500 people are expected to join in the 4th annual Jenny’s Walk to raise funds for children with special needs. All the money raised will stay local and support The Friendship Circle of San Diego, (in Poway) a non-profit organization which provides programming for children with disabilities and their families.
Jenny’s Walk (www.jennyswalk.com), which starts with an 8 a.m. sign-in, a 9 a.m. 5 K accessible walk thru campus and concludes with a 10:00-11:30 a.m. festival, which includes:
- A performance by Air Bud (of Disney fame) who will do an interactive demonstration with children
- All Star Clown Club
- Characters from Big Animals for Little People
- Bouncies
- Fun booths
- Entertainment
Last year student volunteers provided over 4,000 hours of friendship to those with disabilities and their families.
