Dine Down Under for the Poway Valley Therapeutic Riding Center

This week's Poway Gives Back includes the BareBack Grille, the arts, and the Padres.

Special Deal for Special Needs

Pacific Beach is lovely this time of year. If you happen to be there on Thursday, Jan. 12, enjoy a meal from “down under” at the BareBack Grille on Mission Boulevard between 6 p.m. and 10 p.m. The Aussie-themed restaurant will donate 20 percent of your bill to the Poway Valley Therapeutic Riding Center, a non-profit that offers therapeutic horesback riding to children and adults with special needs. To learn more about “PoVa” or support the organization in other ways, visit Povatrc.org.

The Show Must Go On

has set a date for its spring fundraiser. The center will host its Taste of Our Town event on May 19 and will feature live music, restaurants, auctions and games. Proceeds will support their professional performance season and the Arts in Education programs. For more information visit its website.
