"The Division I playoffs are traditionally the toughest division from top to bottom every year,'' Trousdale told the North County Times. "To get there consistently is a true testament to the program and the girls who have helped make it.''

Katie Kuklok had 23 points, including a perfect 8-for-8 from the free throw line, to lead Poway. Alexa Brunansky added 16 points. Bree Jemison was Carlsbad's high scorer with 18, half her team's total.
