Poway Holds Off Lincoln to Remain Unbeaten

Ryan Moreno's two second-half touchdowns lead to a 24-17 win over the Hornets.

Unbeaten Poway High built a three-touchdown lead on the strength of Ryan Moreno's two second-half touchdowns Friday night and the Titans held on for 24-17 victory over Lincoln High in San Diego.

The Titans' Conor Flanagan opened the scoring with a 7-yard touchdown run set up by a Hornets fumble. Poway led 10-3 at the half and built a 24-3 lead before Lincoln (0-2) connected on two long TD passes in the final quarter.

Gabriel Isaak hit on 12 of 19 passes for the Titans (3-0), good for 158 yards. Moreno had 56 yards rushing on 10 carries, including scoring runs of 6 and 4 yards, and Nehemiah Gross added 48 yards on eight carries.
