Poway High Wrestlers Fall Short of Championship

The team came in second during Saturday's championship battle.

Poway High School wrestlers had dreams of a championship, but came up just short for the fifth time in school history, according to a U-T San Diego report.

“Clovis was ranked second in the nation. We’d be hard-pressed to really beat them,” Poway coach Wayne Branstetter said. “To beat the rest (of the schools), the cup’s half full.”
