Poway High Grad Bradley Klahn Wins Pacific Coast

The Stanford University duo of former Poway standout Bradley Klahn and teammate Ryan Thacher took home top honors at the 122nd annual Pacific Coast Doubles Championship tournament at this weekend. The doubles championship features the top men’s collegiate and independent tennis players, including Daniel Faierman and Warren Wood of , and Ryan Rosen and Addison Appleby of .

Faierman and Wood were bumped out on the first day of play. Appleby and Rosen won on Friday but defaulted because Rosen had to compete in another tournament in Long Beach.

Klahn and Thacher, who had finished as runners-up last year, beat out Fresno State’s Remi Boutillier and Rikus de Villiers 6-1, 6-2 in the finals of the tournament, which ran March 4-6. Klahn lead Poway High to the CIF San Diego Section Division I team championship in 2007 and 2008 and won the NCAA singles title last spring for the Cardinal.
