Poway High Basketball Star Transfers from USD to Utah Valley

Katie Kuklok is leaving the University of San Diego after one season as a Torero.

Poway High basketball legend Katie Kuklok has decided to accept a scholarship offer from Utah Valley University and transfer from the University of San Diego, where she played her freshman year, according to the Deseret News.

During her 2010-11 senior year at Poway High, Kuklok led the Titans in scoring with 23.2 points per game, including a 40-point game against Cathedral Catholic. She was named the North San Diego County Player of the Year, among numerous honors that recognized her senior season. Kuklok holds the Poway High career scoring record with 1,982 points, according to the Deseret News.

According to the Utah Valley website, Kuklok will redshirt this season.
