Chargers Resort to Groupon Deal in Effort to Lift Blackout for Sunday

Hoping to avoid fourth TV blackout of the season, the Bolts are offering a $68 discount deal.

If it works for the local bowling alley and hair salon, why not the San Diego Chargers?

In an effort to increase ticket sales—and avoid a fourth TV blackout of the season—the 5-8 NFL team is offering a deal on daily discount site Groupon.

The deal—which includes one endzone-level seat and a $20 food and drink voucher for $68—is being sold for Sunday’s game against the Carolina Panthers.

This is the first time the team has partnered with the discount site, according to a U-T San Diego report.

The team announced on Monday that it would in order to lift the blackout.

I thought there is a contractual agreement between all the NFL teams that they may never cheapen the value or price of a ticket no matter what, it would be a violation. The best way to do it is to make parking free or lower the ludicrous price they charge to park.

I've removed the credit card name reference. Urban legend, I've learned.

I don't think they determine the price for parking - isn't that Ace's decision? I think they pay Ace a set fee (maybe a percentage?) to manage parking and Ace makes the pricing decisions.
