Chargers Must Sell 7,200 Tickets to Lift Blackout

The team will need to sell the tickets by Thursday at 1:15 p.m.

The San Diego Chargers will need to sell 7,200 tickets for Sunday's game against the Miami Dolphins by 1:15 p.m. Thursday or the game will be blacked out, it was announced Tuesday.

Pricey club level seats are also available, but they are not included in the formula to determine a sellout at Qualcomm Stadium, which seats about 71,000 for football.

Last Tuesday, the team needed to move 4,600 tickets for the game against the Kansas City Chiefs. The Chargers gained a 24-hour extension from the NFL two days later, and the game ended up being televised to area fans.
