Rummage for a Chaparral Cause

Chaparral Elementary School is holding its annual fundraising rummage sale Saturday.

Want to hunt for treasure this weekend? is holding an event perfect for those who like to dig.

The on Saturday is open to all and benefits the Chaparral Educational Foundation (CEF), the nonprofit fundraising organization for Chaparral Elementary School. The event will be held in the school’s auditorium and will hold various items, like board games, dining room sets, art and more. Last year’s sale even boasted a backyard play structure!

Want to donate some of your old items that could be someone else’s treasure? You can give your items to the school to be used at the rummage sale. The CEF aims to increase students’ access to technology. Proceeds from this weekend’s rummage sale will go toward building a new computer lab at the school. The potential lab is estimated to cost $80,000.
