PUSD Recognizes Classified Employees as 'Everyday Heroes'

Poway Unified School District recognized nine classified employees at the May board meeting, noting their excellence in work performance, school and community involvement and leadership and commitment to the district and students.

According to the district, the recognition for classified employees was launched last summer and is a three-tiered program.

The May Tier 2 Outstanding Classified Employees recognized at the monthly board meeting are:

  • Maria Amaya, Administrative Assistance II, Special Education
  • Kathleen Frank, Health Services Technician, Abraxas High School
  • Elizabeth Jones, Music Assistant/Accompanist, Bernardo Heights Middle School
  • Marissa Kiesling, ESS Supervisor, Sundance Elementary School
  • Jeri Larson, Instructional Assistant II—Special Education, Pomerado Elementary School
  • Kim Muslusky, Instructional Assistant I—Special Education, Mt. Carmel High School
  • Irma Pollard, Administrative Assistant II, Personnel Commission
  • Susan Thomas, Student Date Technician, Abraxas High School
  • Alison Thompson, Library Media Technician—Elementary, Pomerado Elementary School
