Parents looking for strategies to tackle the high cost of higher education will get a little help tonight at the Poway Unified School District's annual college fair.
Hosted at Mt. Carmel High School from 6 to 8:30 p.m., the fair brings representatives from more than 150 colleges to answer questions, plus nine workshops on a variety of education topics:
- Tips for Applying to the Top UCs
- Show Me the Money—for College
- Exploring Community Colleges in San Diego
- The ACT Exam: What is it? Do I need to take it?
- Introduction to College Athletic Recruiting
- Early Acceptance Medical School Programs
- Helping Families with the High Cost of College
- Secrets of College Funding and Financial Aid
- The Art Institutes, Starting your Creative Education
Each workshop runs once at 6:30-7:15 p.m. and again from 7:20-8:05 p.m. (A schedule with room locations and presenters is attached.)
