Teens Battle to Have the Best Band

Three of the four bands that performed at the Poway Library make it to the final round.

Poway teens battled to win the title of best band and a grand prize including a $250 gig and seven-hour studio session.

The hosted its third-annual Battle of the Bands on Saturday and four local teen rock bands performed. Saturday's event was the first of three in the competition. The top three bands from Saturday's performance and next month's second performance will battle each other out for the grand prize.

"We like to give the teens a chance to feel like they’re involved in the library, like they own the library," Poway teen librarian Danielle Clayton said.
