Photos: PUSD Names 3 District Teachers of the Year
PUSD officials on Thursday surprised three teachers with district Teacher of the Year honors.
Poway Unified School District officials on Thursday morning surprised three teachers with flower bouquets and the news: They were the district Teachers of the Year.
The honorees are: Anthony Bayro, a third grade teacher at Los Peñasquitos Elementary School, Megan Power, a kindergarten teacher at Del Sur Elementary School and Martin Reisert, a sixth grade teacher at Oak Valley Middle School.
The three were chosen from among the teachers of the year at each individual school site across the district by a committee of past winners and school administrators.

Also on hand to congratulate the honorees were the three 2011-12 Teachers of the Year: Lisa Casey O'Brien of Poway High School, Jo Ann Cooper of Twin Peaks Middle School and Julie Harris of Willow Grove Elementary School.
