As of 11 p.m. Tuesday, the petition on Change.org had a dozen signatures.

A follower of a group started in response to Poway Unified's billion-dollar bond controversy has started a petition on Change.org, a web-based platform for "social change," to fire PUSD Superintendent John Collins.

The petition from a follower of Thanks a Billion states that Collins has "misled the board of trustees in fiscal mismanagement" and accuses the superintendent of lacking openness and accountability.

In an opinion article posted on Poway Patch on Monday, a poll was conducted surveying people's thoughts on firing Collins.
