Abraxas High Students End Year with Scholarships

Fifteen Abraxas High School students were awarded scholarships from nine local organizations in an annual scholarship ceremony Thursday morning.

Scholarship recipients were:

• Coraima Cedillo and Jason Noles—Association of Poway School Managers.
• Jason Noles—California Continuing Education Association.
• Stephanie Evenich, Atosa Rasteh and Felipe Vera—Friends of Abraxas.
• Michael Castillo and Loraine Liwanag—Jonathan Tarr Foundation.
• Jason Noles—Miramar College Foundation.
• Ali Aljanabi, Davonte Byrd, Samantha Olson, Masiel De Dios, Angela Palumbo and Mariah Wilcots—Rancho Bernardo Sunrise Rotary.
• Masiel De Dios and Angela Palumbo—William & Violet Saxton Scholarship.
• Loraine Liwanag—Soroptimist International of Poway.
• Jordahn Pope, Jason Noles and Desiree Wimberly—Kiwanis Club of Poway.
