Registrar Seeking Poll Workers in Poway

Poll workers are still needed to work in Poway during the June 5 Presidential Primary Election.

Several vacant slots still exist across the county, and there’s especially a need for poll workers who are bilingual in Chinese, Filipino, Spanish and Vietnamese. 

Here’s a breakdown of spots that still need to filled, according to language:

Del Dios, Escondido, San Marcos, Rancho Peñasquitos, Mira Mesa, Clairemont/Linda Vista, Encanto, El Cajon, San Carlos, Nestor, Chula Vista

Poll workers get a stipend ranging from $75 to $175, depending on the assignment. Anyone who is bilingual gets an extra $15 if they are assigned to provide language assistance to voters. 

Poll workers must be U.S. citizens, registered voters in the state, and have transportation to their assigned polling location. Depending on the job assignment, they may also need internet access so they can complete online training and attend a two-hour class.
