Registrar Predicts 55-65 Percent Voter Turnout
The Registrar expects a higher voter turnout compared to the June primaries.
The Registrar of Voters is predicting that 55 to 65 percent of voters will hit the polls Tuesday.
The prediction is higher than the 38 percent who came out in the June primaries to vote.
The popularity of mail-in ballots continues to grow locally.

About 700,000 ballots were mailed to San Diego County voters for this election, according to Registrar Deborah Seiler. About a quarter-million had been returned by the middle of last week.
Seiler said she expects 25 to 30 percent of the ballots in this election to be cast by mail.

Despite the nearly even split among parties in San Diego County, it appeared that more Republicans had mailed ballots in than Democrats, according to Seiler.
Voters in San Diego County will decide on a bevy of federal, state and local offices as well as a number of propositions. Locally, Powegians will vote for their next mayor, two City Council members and three Poway Unified School Board District trustees.
San Diego County will have 1,466 polling locations to cast ballots. The polls open at 7 a.m. on Tuesday and close at 8 p.m.
