Poway Marine Killed in Afghanistan
Lance Cpl. Jason D. Hill was killed in the Helmand Province on Saturday.
Lance Cpl. Jason D. Hill of Poway was killed in combat in Afghanistan, it was announced Monday.
Hill, a Camp Pendleton-based Marine, died in Helmand Province on Saturday, according to the Department of Defense. Hill, 20, was a member of the 3rd Battalion, 4th Marine Regiment, 1st Marine Division, I Marine Expeditionary Force.
Lance Cpl. Sean M. N. O'Connor, 22, of Douglas, Wyo., was also killed in combat, according to the Department of Defense. O'Connor, who died on Sunday, belonged to the 1st Battalion, 5th Marine Regiment, 1st Marine Division, I MEF.
