Poway’s city council is scheduled to meet tonight to discuss replacing retiring City Manager Penny Riley.

The city staff is recommending that Assistant City Manager Tina M. White be appointed as interim city manager until a full-time person is hired, according to the Poway staff report.

If approved, White would take over effective Jan. 25. White would briefly receive the benefits bestowed on Riley during her service.

The council meets at 7 p.m. in the City Council Chambers, 13325 Civic Center Drive.
