Two juveniles suspected of attempting to steal alcohol from Sprouts on Poway Road early Sunday morning were arrested by sheriff’s deputies responding to the store’s activated security alarm, according to Sgt. Robert Brunk.
The young bandits entered the store through the loading dock around 2:30 a.m., and responding deputies spotted one of the juveniles, who subsequently took off running, Brunk said.
Both juveniles were caught and one was released to parents and the other was taken to juvenile hall.
Damage estimates to the store were not available.
