Three Killed in Holiday Weekend Crashes
Dozens also were arrested on suspicion of drunken driving.
Three people lost their lives in traffic accidents in the San Diego area over the long Thanksgiving weekend, authorities reported Monday.
Over the same 102-hour period, the California Highway Patrol jailed 94 motorists on suspicion of driving while intoxicated on local roads, according to the state agency.
Statewide, 44 fatal crashes occurred between 6 p.m. Wednesday and 11:59 p.m. Sunday, and CHP officers made 1,320 DUI arrests.
