A 17-year-old boy suffered serious injuries Saturday morning when he skidded his motorcycle into a pickup truck backing out of a driveway on Budwin Lane, authorities report.
According to sheriff’s Deputy Mark Karo, a 22-year-old man was backing up his truck in the 14700 block of Budwin about 11:10 a.m.
“The [male] driver of the motorcycle noticed the truck blocking the roadway and entered into a locked wheel skid,” Karo said. “The motorcycle and driver, who was wearing his helmet, collided with the pickup truck.”
Karo said the rider was taken to Pomerado Hospital before deputies arrived at the scene, which was near Twin Peaks Middle School and Tierra Bonita Elementary.
“It was determined the rider suffered serious but non-life-threatening injuries. The investigation is ongoing,” he said.
