Streets Affected by Water Main Break to Reopen Today

The break at Twin Peaks Road and Budwin Lane flooded the nearby area and caused a sinkhole.

The city of Poway Public Works Department expects streets in an area damaged by a water main break on Thursday to re-open by noon today.

There are no reports of structural damage, and water service was restored at 1 a.m. this morning, but traffic lanes are closed in the area as utility crews work to fix the problem.

The water main broke around 6:30 p.m. Thursday at Twin Peaks Road and Budwin Lane.
