Sheriff's Dept. Seeks Suspect in Slew of Poway Commercial Burglaries

The suspect(s) have stolen about $8,000 worth of laptops and caused about $3,500 in damages to the windows and doors of the businesses they burglarized.

After seven commercial buildings inside a Poway business park were burglarized, San Diego County Crime Stoppers and investigators from the San Diego County Sheriff’s Department’s Poway station are asking for help to identify and locate the suspect(s) wanted in connection with the crimes.

Detectives said that between July 19 and 23 — between the hours of 5 p.m. and 8 a.m. — the suspect(s) gained entry into all of the businesses off Danielson Street by smashing glass windows or glass doors.

Once inside, the suspect(s) targeted laptop computers, the Sheriff's Department said, except at Phone.com and Orca Systems where no property was reported stolen.
