Man Dies of Possible Drug Overdose; Body Found in Highland Valley Road Home

A 29-year-old's body was found in the home late Tuesday afternoon.

A man whose body was found in a Highland Valley Road home Tuesday is likely to have died of a drug overdose, according to a Sheriff's spokeswoman.

Detectives were called to investigate a 29-year-old's body found in a home in the 16000 block of Highland Valley Road late Tuesday afternoon. The home is between Highland Trails Drive and Highland Mesa Drive, near the Ramona and Poway limits.

A man and a woman each called the Sheriff's Department at 4:06 p.m. saying the young man was not breathing, Sheriff's Lt. Kelly Martinez told Patch Tuesday night.

The exact cause of death will be determined by an autopsy, she said.

No information about the identity of the young man was available at the time of this report.
