Man Stabbed at Poway Apartment Building Expected to Survive

The man was stabbed around the head and neck on Cynthia Lane, according to the Sheriff's Department.

An investigation was under way Thursday into the stabbing of a man at a Poway apartment complex, authorities said.

The man suffered non-life threatening injuries to his head and neck in the 13000 block of Cynthia Lane late Wednesday night, according to San Diego County sheriff’s Sgt. Brian Jenkins.

Deputies learned of the stabbing about 10:45 p.m. when they stopped a motorist for speeding and found the victim in the passenger seat, the sergeant said in a statement.

The motorist had been racing to get to a nearby hospital, he said, noting paramedics were called to transport the victim to Palomar Medical Center in Escondido.

No other information was immediately released.
