Joint Sweep Leads to Arrests of 6 Women at Poway Massage Parlors
Three establishments were targeted after weeks of complaints that the businesses were involved in prostitution. Those arrested were from San Diego, Oceanside and the Los Angeles area.
Authorities arrested six women, but questioned and released five males, in a prostitution sweep of three Poway Road massage parlors.
The sweep was a group effort by the Poway Community Policing Team from the San Diego County Sheriffs Department, Poway detectives and the North County Human Trafficking Task Force.
The targeted establishments were:
- Silky Massage, 13328 Poway Road
- Hai Tee Acupuncture-Massage, 12623 Poway Road
- The Healing Touch, 12845 Poway Road.
Investigators conducted the sweep from 1-4 p.m. Friday and cited these women on various charges, including unlawful touching, prostitution and municipal code violations:
- Huiyan Fan, 39, and Tian Tian Jobe, 32, both from the Los Angeles area, at Silky Massage.
- Yun Xian Chen, 56, of Monterey Park, and Qing Hui Zhang, 39, of San Diego, at Hai Tee.
- Hang Yin Chui Russell, 50, and Yishuang Cheng, 47, both of Oceanside, at Healing Touch.
In a news release, the Sheriffs department said investigators had received several complaints over the last few weeks of prostitution at the businesses. Witnesses also said men were seen leaving the sites at all hours.
