FBI Seeks Bearded Bank Robbery Suspect

A man is accused of using a demand note to rob a Wells Fargo Bank near Poway on Friday.

Authorities are searching for the bearded suspect in a Friday morning robbery at a Wells Fargo Bank off of Scripps Poway Parkway.

The suspect, thought to be a man in his late 30s, used a demand note and made off with cash from the bank at 12030 Scripps Summit Dr., San Diego, around 10:15 a.m. Friday, according to a news release from the FBI.

No one was injured in the robbery and the suspect was last seen being driven away by an unknown person in a gray four-door vehicle with tinted windows, according to the release.

The suspect's description:

  • Age: Late 30s male
  • Height: 6-foot
  • Weight: 180-200 pounds
  • Hair: Dark; light beard and mustache
  • Clothing: White hooded sweatshirt, dark jacket, dark beanie, gloves, dark oval-shaped sunglasses, gray pants
  • Race: Asian or Middle Eastern descent
