FBI Releases Photos of Suspect in Attempted Poway US Bank Robbery

The man is accused of trying to rob a bank in Poway on Friday.

The Federal Bureau of Investigation has released images of a man suspected in an attempted robbery at US Bank in Poway on Friday that left the suspect empty-handed.

Officials said the man went into a US Bank at 12265 Scripps Poway Parkway around 2:38 p.m. Friday, handed an employee a demand note, but she told him she did not have any cash and he left.

No one was injured and no weapon was seen, according to an FBI news release.

  • Sex: Male
  • Race: Hispanic
  • Age: Late 20s to early 30s
  • Height: Approximately 5-foot-10-inches to 6-feet tall
  • Build: Stocky
  • Clothing: Black baseball cap, black wraparound sunglasses, gloves, black/gray jeans and white tennis shoes
