Deputies to Target Drunk Drivers with Checkpoint Friday
A checkpoint will be set on the 16700 block of Espola Road on Friday night.
Sheriff's deputies in Poway will have a checkpoint Friday night at the 16700 block of Espola Road.
The checkpoint—which will target drivers under the influence and is funded by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration through the California Office of Traffic Safety—will be staffed by about 15 deputies.
Deputies are expected to hold the checkpoint from 7 p.m. to 2:30 a.m.
