Sheriff's Department, FBI Ask Public for Help in Identifying Bank Robber

Chase bank on Poway Road was robbed Thursday evening, according to officials.

The FBI and San Diego Sheriff’s Department are asking the public for help in identifying a man responsible for robbing Chase Bank on Poway Road Thursday.

The gunman was described as a black male adult, 5 feet 5 inches tall, 140 pounds, thin with possible razor bumps or acne. He was wearing a black hoodie, dark jeans, orange baseball cap and a gray/silver colored wig with loose curls. He is believed to be in his late 20s or early 30s.

He also carried a black semi-automatic pistol.

Deputies were called to the bank on 12380 Poway Rd. around 5:54 p.m.

Anyone with information about the suspect is asked to call the FBI's San Diego office at (858) 499-7810 or the office's 24-hour line at (858) 565-1255.
