Deputies Find Pot Plants in Poway Home

A 3-year-old living in the home on Evalyn Court is in the custody of Child Protective Services.

Sheriff’s deputies investigating information about marijuana growing inside a home on Evalyn Court found 19 plants in the garage on Friday, according to Sgt. Chad Boudreau. Six people were arrested—four men and two women—including the parents of a 3-year-old child that was living at the home.

Deputies arrived at the home at 7 a.m. to conduct a search of the home, which turned up the 19 pot plants, other drugs and drug paraphernalia in several rooms, according to Boudreau. Seven people were detained and four were arrested for being under the influence of a controlled substance, according to a sheriff’s report. Two residents were released without charges.

Child Protective Services took custody of the 3-year-old. No other information was released.
