Crime Log: Elks Lodge Reports $52K Embezzlement; Armed Robbery

The following incidents from July 9-15 were listed at the Sheriff's Department Poway substation.

July 9: Narcotics were found at the 13100 block of Bowron Road.

July 9: Fraud was reported at the 13200 block of Alpine Drive. About $500 was stolen via personation.

July 9: Fraud was reported at 13100 block of Bowron Road. Fraudulent checks were reported.

July 9: Battery was reported at the 14200 block of Kendra Way. A pistol, valued at $800, was reported stolen from a building.

July 10: Burglary of a vehicle was reported at the intersection of Pomerado Road and 9th Street. A purse, stolen credit cards, cash and miscellaneous computer equipment, valued at a total of about $1,240, was reported stolen from a vehicle.

July 10: Embezzlement was reported at the 13200 Poway Road.  Elks Lodge reported more than $52,000 stolen.

July 10: Commercial burglary was reported at the 12300 block of First American Way. Decision Sciences reported $7,000 worth of miscellaneous property.

July 10: Annoying phone calls were reported at the 14100 block of Danielson Street.vandalism.

July 10: Tampering with a vehicle was reported at the 14000 block of Kirkham Way.

July 10: An arrest was made at the 13200 block of Community Road. A 43-year-old man was arrested on probable cause of driving with a suspended license.

July 10: Harassing phone calls were reported at the 12800 block of Neddick Avenue

July 10: An arrest was made at the intersection of Twin PEaks Road and Kent Hill Way. A 53-year-old man was arrested on probable cause of driving while under the influence of alcohol or drugs.

July 10: Spousal abuse was reported at the 13700 block of Silver Lake Drive. The victim had an apparent minor injury.

July 10: Tampering with a vehicle was reported at the 14000 block of Kirkham Way.

July 11: Grand theft was reported at the 12900 block of Gregg Court. Staples reported nearly $1000 worth of stolen miscellaneous computer equipment.

July 11: An arrest was made at the 14100 block of Twin PEaks Road. A 60-year-old woman was arrested on probable cause of willful cruelty to a child without injury or death, driving under the influence of alcohol, probation violation and operating a motor vehicle under the influence of alcohol while on probation.

July 11: A citation was made at the 13100 block of Poway Road. A 23-year-old man was cited on probable cause of possessing one ounce, or less, of marijuana while driving.

July 12: An arrest was made at the 13300 block of Poway Road. A 23-year-old man was arrested on probable cause of using a controlled substance and possessing unlawful paraphernalia.

July 12: Petty theft was reported at the 10400 block of Cherry Blossom Lane.
 A license plate was reported stolen.

July 12: An arrest was made at the 13000 block of Civic Center Drive. A 30-year-old man was arrested on probable cause of being drunk in public.

July 12: An arrest was made at the 13800 block of San Sebastian Way. A 21-year-old man was arrested on probable cause of being a social host and failing to prevent alcohol consumption by minors.

July 13: Elder abuse was reported at the 14500 block of Scarboro Street. A 38-year-old woman was arrested on probable cause of likely to cause harm or death of an elder/dependent adult.

July 14: Stolen vehicle was reported at the 12500 block of Oak Knoll Road. A white, two-door sedan, valued at $2,000, was reported stolen.

July 14: Spousal abuse was reported at the 12800 Welton Lane. A 48-year-old man was arrested on probable cause of spousal abuse with minor injury.

July 14: A citation was given and arrest was made at the 13000 block of Civic Center Drive. A 59-year-old man was cited for having glass in a city park and arrested on probable cause of being drunk in public.

July 14: A citation was given and arrest was made at the 13000 block of Civic Center Drive. A 51-year-old man was cited for having glass in a city park.

July 14: An arrest was made at the 13000 block of Civic Center Drive. A 56-year-old man was arrested on probable cause of being drunk in public.

July 14: Vandalism was reported at the 12300 block of Meadowbrook Lane. A green, four-door sedan was reportedly vandalized.

July 14: Commercial burglary was reported at the 12700 block of Poway Road. Lupe's Mexican Food reported $140 stolen.

July 14: Hot prowl burglary was reported at the 17500 block of Via Loma Drive. A television valued at nearly $2,000 was reported stolen.

July 14: Stolen vehicle was reported at the 13000 block of Carriage Road. A black, two-door sedan, valued at $6,000, was reported stolen.

July 14: Armed robbery was reported at the 13200 block of Dana Vista. A black bicycle, valued at $1,500 was reported stolen. An 18-year-old man was arrested on probable cause of robbery.

July 15: Stolen was reported and an arrest was made at the 13300 block of Carriage Heights Circle. An 18-year-old man was arrested on probable cause of possessing a controlled substance, taking a vehicle without the owner's consent and using a controlled substance.

July 15: Commercial burglary was reported at the 12800 block of Poway Road. A Monkey's Uncle reported a stolen necklace, valued at $36.

July 15: Spousal abuse was reported at the 13400 block of Midland Road. A 20-year-old man was arrested on probable cause of spousal abuse with minor injury.

July 15: Petty theft from a vehicle was reported at the 12900 block of Conley Street. $800 worth of miscellaneous items were reported stolen from a vehicle.

July 15: Petty theft from a vehicle was reported at the 13700 block of Frame Road. $800 worth of miscellaneous items were reported stolen from a vehicle.

July 15: An arrest was made at the 13100 block of Poway Road. A 27-year-old man was arrested on probable cause of being drunk in public.

July 15: Grand theft was reported at the 12900 block of Conley Street. $800 worth of miscellaneous car parts items were reported stolen from a vehicle.
