Chronic Alcohol Abuse Blamed for Death of Poway Woman Found in Car

A 26-year-old Poway woman died of complications from chronic alcohol abuse, investigators have determined.

Ghazaleh Mossavar-Rahmani was found unresponsive lying on the back floorboard of her car at the Parkview Terrace Apartments complex on the 13200 block of Civic Center Dr. on April 9. A neighbor saw the woman and called 911. 

A report from the San Diego Medical Examiner's Office cites "complications of chronic alcohol abuse" as the cause of Mossavar-Rahmani's death.

At the time, the San Diego County Sheriff's Department said the woman's father, who lived with her, had reported her missing on April 6 and it appeared she had been dead for several days.

The woman was pronounced dead at the scene at 4 p.m..
