A "car of interest" that may be connected to the manhunt for suspected cop killer Christopher Dorner was found at the Poway Sheriff's Station on Thursday.

"We are investigating the possibility that the suspect used the license plate off that vehicle on his own car," said Lt. Julia Engen, a spokeswoman for the Irvine Police Department, in an email. "We had a crime scene investigator out there today to process the vehicle."

Officials had been warning people statewide Thursday to be on the lookout for a gray Nissan Titan truck with the license plate 7X03191 or 8D83987. Dorner, a former LAPD officer, is suspected in the shooting deaths of an Irvine couple and a Riverside police officer. Dorner's truck was later found torched in Big Bear.
