Authorities ID Motorcyclist Killed in Scripps Poway Parkway Accident

Leon Livingston was pronounced dead after being transported to Sharp Memorial Hospital on Sunday.

The 56-year-old man killed in a motorcycle accident near Scripps Poway Parkway was identified Monday.

Leon Livingston, a San Diego resident, was riding south on state Route 67 shortly before 3 p.m. on Sunday when he rear-ended a vehicle that made an abrupt stop directly in front of him near Scripps Poway Parkway, according to the Medical Examiner's Office.

Though he was wearing a helmet, Livingston suffered critical injuries.

He was pronounced dead at Sharp Memorial Hospital about 90 minutes later.
