Powegian Crushed by Pallet in Lakeside
Matthew Christopher Mitchell was working on his GED through Poway Unified School District.
The body of 18-year-old Matthew Christopher Mitchell was found Thursday night, crushed under a large wood pallet at a drilling site in Lakeside, according to the coroner's office.
Transients found Mitchell's body at Anderson Drilling's corporate headquarters on Channel Road around 8:30 p.m., according to the San Diego County Medical Examiner's Office. The San Diego Union-Tribune reported that Mitchell was the son of Lisa Mitchell of Poway and was working on getting a GED diploma through the Poway Unified School District.
