Dog Days of Summer: Poway Weekend Weather Forecast

It's hot out there, but downright dangerous in the deserts.

The summer swelter continues as the temperature in Poway has again risen past the 90-degree mark, made worse by 47 percent humidity. Extreme heat in the deserts will reach dangerous levels through Saturday, possibly as high as 117 degrees.

Relief is on the way, forecasters say, with daytime highs below 90 expected next week.
