UBE Fiasco

In the Mix Yogurt is excited to present an
exhibition of new and older work by San
Diego based artist UBE. The exhibition, titled
UBE Fiasco, showcases UBE's injection of
his own identity into the public view by fusing
his name with globally recognized logos.
Titled after a term meaning failure, Fiasco is
the artist's way of letting go of a past in order
to clear a path for success while failure itself
can serve as a bittersweet reminder of a
lesson learned, a character builder, and a
measurement of desire.

About UBE
UBE is a San Diego based artist whose main goal is to “get up” primarily through stickers
which can be found in the streets of San Diego, New York City, and San Francisco. Urban
installations also include the use of stencils, posters, and even customized padlocks. In late
2012, UBE was published in the local San Diego publication CityBeat for pranking one of their
writers and almost pranking another if he hadn't been figured out in time. UBE submitted both
a fake gallery showing and film screening, taking the time to create a film synopsis and
convincing flyers.
