Men’s Club Dinner Forum Featured Speaker Meg Mandel Beth Israel's President Meg Mandel

Please join us at our July 16 Men’s Club Dinner Forum to hear Beth Israel President  Meg Mandel speak about the year in review and look ahead into the future.  
 
Meg has been a member of Beth Israel since she and her family moved to San Diego from Iowa in 2006. Before becoming president, Meg chaired Beth Israel’s Development Committee, sat on the Executive Committee, Campaign Cabinet, Membership and Education committees. She is also a graduate of our Leadership Development Institute. Meg also co-chaired the Religious School Room Parent Committee and served on the Youth Education Advisory Committee.
 
In addition to her involvement with Beth Israel, Meg was on the board of her synagogue in Iowa City and has been active in the Jewish Federation for years.  She also serves on the Board of the Women’s Division of UJF, served as co-chair of the La Jolla Lunch Club.
 
Born in Altoona, PA, Meg graduated from Brown University with a B.A. in American Civilization and earned an M.A.T. from Rice University. Her professional background is in college admission, education, and fundraising.  She lives in La Jolla with her husband, Jess Mandel, Associate Dean for Medical Education at UCSD School of Medicine, and their two children, Emily, 20, and Jonathan, 16.
