Emergency First Aid - What to do when the Ambulance can't come"

Have you ever wondered what you would do in an emergency where an ambulance is not an option?  Ambulance services are limited and it is important to have a plan of action in case they simply are not available. These can be serious and scary situations, Your actions could be the difference in life or death. Learn how to give emergency first aid in situations such as avulsions, heat or cold exposure and other common yet critical and tricky medical problems using regular household items. The Poway Neighborhood Emergency Corps will host training in "Emergency First Aid" taught by Tanner Franklin, former EMT and Certified CPR/First aid trainer with Heart Saviors. This is a Free Seminar for any and all Poway residents and guests. We guarantee that you will learn something you didn't already know and come away more prepared in the event of a first aid emergency. The last thing you want is to be unprepared when it matters most. Come to our Emergency First Aid training and let us help you. PNEC will be hosting this event on Thursday, February 6th at 7 p.m  at 14211 Twin Peaks Road (Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints). There will also be sign ups to attend a certification class in CPR/First Aid training for the following Saturday, February 8th from 9 am till 1 pm at same location.  This certification can go on a resume or be used to meet current job requirements and is not limited to professionals.
