San Diego Padres to Honor Ronald Reagan at Monday's Game

The Padres is one of nine Major League Baseball teams to mark the centennial of Ronald Reagan's birth.

1. The San Diego Padres will become the first of nine Major League Baseball teams to mark the centennial of Ronald Reagan's birth at Monday's game against the Pittsburgh Pirates at Petco Park. The Ronald Reagan 100—Major League Baseball Tribute will include a video tribute to Reagan, a ceremonial first pitch being thrown by Austin Dillon, a co-chair of the Reagan Centennial National Youth Committee and NASCAR driver, and country singer Tim Dugger singing the national anthem.

2. Lawyer Gary Kreep of Ramona is to appear before a three-judge federal Appeals Court panel in Pasadena Monday to argue that Barack Obama cannot be the president of the United States—no matter what paperwork the president released last week. Kreep has said he and co-counsel Orly Taitz are unfazed by President
Obama's release if his long-form Hawaiian birth certificate last week. The president also gently poked the birther movement at Saturday's White House

3. The average price of a gallon of self-serve regular unleaded gasoline, starting out this work week in San Diego County is $4.25.4. That's a nickel more than a week ago, 20.2 cents more than this time last month and $1.13.1 more than this time last year.
